Abril House, Barcelona

The aim of the proposal is the refurbishment of a dwelling located in the ground floor of a nineteenth century’s building in Gràcia’s neighbourhood. In order to open the inner space of the house to the garden, all partitioning and some bearing walls are demolished. The new services are located near the inner courtyard. The two bedrooms needed are placed one on the top of the other inside an added steel framework, with mobile enclosures and wood panelled slabs, with the aim of generating one flexible space.
