General Masterplan, Ciutadella de Menorca

 The masterplan aims to define the basic structural operations, not only at the scale of the city but also in its relationship with the territory, to enable the necessary general cohesion and to organize properly the design operations in what we called the city edges.

The new masterplan must face, for example, the design answers to shape the city edges, specially in the entrance to the city from Maó’s road and the zones surrounding the Via de Ronda, and define its relation with the city centre and the territory; or the links of the city with the new Ciutadella’s harbour, and that means the redefinition of some sectors in the coast and the integration of the entrances and the industrial site.
