Restoration of Monastery of la Mare de Déu del Toro, Menorca

The proposal aims to transform the site of the Monastery through a landscaping view, in order to get back the appearance of the Monastery as the only building in the top of the Toro mountain. New viewpoints will appear after demolishing some of the retaining walls and the characteristic flora and fauna will be recovered.

The project proposes three different zones: public spaces related to religious and touristic uses, private zones located in the upper floors of the Monastery, and the hotel and Congress Centre, connected by a new staircase located inside the Defence Tower. The congress Centre will occupy new spaces under the ground level whereas the hotel is in a part of the Monastery.
