Special Plan for Heritage Protection, Sant Francesc

Sant Francesc’s church is located on the edge between the salt lakes and the place where the main visual and topographic axis of its territory converge. The church was the residents and salt lakes workers’s landmark inside the plane landscape surrounding.

The aim of that Special Plan for Heritage Protection has been to recognise, appreciate and protect some traditional visuals linked with the relationship between the church and its site. At the same time, some interventions near the church are proposed in order to improve the public space in Sant Francesc’s centre.
